Questions and Answers

Q.: What is Counselling?

A: Counselling is a space and a process whereby you can be helped to understand more about your problems and to reflect on your choices accordingly.

Q.: What is a ‘Systemic’ Counsellor?

A: Systemic Counsellors offer you a series of specialised conversations which will discover significant elements in your life story and  how they play a part in your problems. For example, they will take notice of identities and relationships within your family, how you relate with your partner, your workplace, community, and environment: All of these have an impact on the way you feel, how you interact with others and how they interact with you.

Systemic counsellors will take account of the whole bigger picture. This can be useful to help you ‘unpack your suitcase of problems’. Working with the counsellor you can find ways to re-write your relationships with others, with your Self and with your mental health.
